Timey-wimey writing stuff

I love this quote so much that I own the t-shirt. I’m a Whovian and proud of it.

Why would I subject you all to quotes from Doctor Who? Because this applies to the writing of the first draft (sometimes the second and third).

Writing is not a particularly linear endeavor. I might have the end as a fixed point that my story and characters have to reach, but everything else is fluid until I have all the words out of my brainpan and in a format that I can then tweak, edit, and rearrange.

Until that moment where you think the project is finished, it’s a big wibbly wobbly mess. Regardless…
