Thanks for stopping by!

Writing Your Destiny Blog Readers . . .

are a diverse group of socially conscious entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents, healers, artists, gardeners, poets, photographers, musicians, and social innovators who are sharing their own wild and beautiful journey through their blogs.  Thank you to all of you!

Karen Wan, Summer 2012

My name is Karen Wan.  I’m a socially conscious entrepreneur, mom and writer.

Like many of you I’ve been drawn to writing for a long time through both my hobbies and professional work.

I’ve made a good living as a professional writer for the business world through technical, marketing, and grant writing.  I also worked at IBM for many years as a product engineer using my materials science engineering degree and later ran a green business program for the City of Chicago for several years.  Today I use my writing skills in work as a sustaining story consultant when creating transformational workshops, strategic business plans, and retreats.

Novel Writing

is my long submerged dream.  Writing Your Destiny is also a place where I share my journey to getting my first novel published! I am so grateful for the support I’ve been receiving from many of you on my road to developing skills as a creative writer.

A Thought to Contemplate. . .  We Live in a Unique Time

It’s my belief that we are living through one of the golden eras in human history, and that there is a special window of opportunity to act in new ways from 2012 through somewhere around 2037.   If you know anything about sustainability, you know we need to change our ways!

So, in addition to discussing writing, we will explore the many ways in which you can recharge our energy and ideas to meet the demands of this unprecedented time and flow into change with more grace and ease.

    • Thank you, that’s very kind of you. I still have to notify all the people I nominated for the Sunshine award, so I’m going to wait a bit like you did to respond to this one. These awards are wonderful but they also take time to find the right people to nominate!

    • I’m finally getting around to thanking you properly for your tag earlier this month. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, and the great poetry that you share!

    • Skye,
A friend recommended your blog highly and I was very impressed with your posts, so it’s a delight to follow you. Look forward to getting to know you better!
      Karen
